'Conquer Fear' of disease recurrence

Dr Jane Beith - University of Sydney, Sydney, Australia

Added: 03 Jun 2017

Dr Beith speaks with ecancer at ASCO 2017 about the Conquer Fear intervention, which sought to manage fear of cancer recurrence with biweekly therapy sessions.

Compared to a control group, who received relaxation focussed therapy, she describes an overall improvement among patients participating in Conquer Fear sessions for their anxiety, depression and fear of relapse.

You can watch Dr Beith present these results at a press session here, and watch Dr Viviane Hess discuss a web-based intervention to support patients post-diagnosis here.
